You need to be a business, and you need to be able to show it. There is no minimum project volume, no revenue threshold and no requirement to already carry a cabinet line.

What we ask for on the account application is an EIN, or — if you are a sole proprietor — a Social Security number along with supporting documentation such as a contractor’s license or your local and state permits. We also ask for two trade references, meaning companies you currently buy from, and a signed acceptance of our Ordering Policy.

Two optional items are worth sending at the same time. A copy of your state sales tax license, if you want the account set up tax-exempt, and a business card.

The form on this page is the first of two steps, and it is the fast one. We review it and contact you within one to two business days.

What follows is the account application itself. Your sales rep sends you a four-page packet covering your legal business name, company and billing address, the year the business started, your business type, the two trade references and an authorized purchasing agent signature. You return it to your rep with sales@modernformcabinets.com copied, along with your EIN or supporting documents and the signed Ordering Policy.

If you want net terms rather than paying by cash, check or card, there is a separate credit application. Submit it when you open the account rather than in the middle of a job — the approval runs on its own timeline and you do not want to be waiting on it with a kitchen on hold.

Your sales rep is the training. You get one assigned to your account, and they know the lines, the spec sheets, what is actually on the racks in Carrollton and what lead time a custom finish is running that week.

In person, the showroom at 1520 Luna Rd in Carrollton is where the training really happens. Come in by appointment and walk the lines with your rep — open the drawers, look at the edge banding, see Natural Oak next to Walnut under real light. That hour is worth more than a slide deck, and it is the same visit you can bring a client to.

We also back you on the design side. Basic 3D renderings are free to account holders and their clients, so you can put a layout in front of a customer without carrying the drafting cost yourself. In-person design sessions are by appointment, and the measurements need to come from you or your installer.

The things you need to sell our product to your own customer.

Samples are free. So are sample door racks, which matter more than they sound like they do — a rack lets you show the whole range properly instead of passing a client two loose doors. If you want a full display in your showroom, you buy it from us and we credit the cost back to you across your next four orders, so a dealer who was going to order anyway gets the display effectively paid for.

We do not release pricing to your clients. Your customer deals with you on price, not with us. We quote you, and what you quote them is between the two of you. For anyone whose margin is the business, that is the resource that actually counts.

You also get free basic 3D renderings for your clients, access to the full custom finish program rather than just the in-stock colors, and an account where the person on the other end of the phone already knows your projects.

No. No minimum order, no minimum number of projects a month, no annual commitment and no freight minimum. One closet unit ships the same as a forty-unit apartment job.

You also do not need an account to buy from us at all. The dealer program is for buyers who want a standing supply relationship across projects rather than ordering job to job. It is an option, not a gate.

By volume, not by title. We run five price levels, and which one you buy at is set by how much you purchase — the more you buy, the better the price.

That applies to whoever is doing the buying. A dealer placing one kitchen and a walk-in customer placing one kitchen land at the same level. Opening an account does not by itself move you to a better number; buying more does.

Worth asking your rep directly which level your typical order falls in and what the next one up takes. On a job you were planning to split across two orders, the answer sometimes makes it worth consolidating.

Cash, check or a credit card on any order. Beyond that, you can submit a credit application, and whether you qualify for net terms — and at what length — depends on what comes back.

Orders are approved in writing, converted to an invoice and paid in full before they release to the warehouse. The invoice number is your order number, so it is the one to quote when you call about the order or come to pick it up.

No. We do not grant exclusive territories, and we would rather say that plainly here than leave it vague in a conversation where it matters to you.

What it means in practice is that nobody is handed a region and nobody is locked out of one. The relationship is worth what you make of it rather than what a map says.

Yes, and this is usually the difference between quoting a job and winning it. You are not limited to the in-stock colors — the full custom program is open to dealer accounts, including any Sherwin-Williams color on the Shaker line and the custom European palette.

A client who already picked a color somewhere else does not have to be talked out of it.

Yes, nationwide, and we hold the inventory in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex rather than ordering it once the job is awarded.

Everything ships from our warehouse at 1520 Luna Rd, Suite 140, Carrollton, TX 75006. Because the cabinets and closets are ready-to-assemble, they ship flat-packed, which is denser freight than pre-assembled boxes and stores more easily on a job site. If part of an order goes on backorder, we prepay the shipping on the backordered portion — you do not pay freight twice because we were short.

We do not offer free freight, and there is no order size that unlocks it. Freight is quoted on your order and your address. We would rather quote it honestly than build it into the product price and call it free.

For a multi-unit job, call (469) 521-9096 with the unit count, the layouts and your schedule.
